Pakistan to host Baseball Cup in Nov-Dec

Syed Khawar Shah, Pakistan Baseball Federation secretary said that teams of India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Iraq and other countries would be featuring in the event, says a press release.
“The visiting teams will be arriving at Lahore on November 24,” he said.
The secretary said he had invited the Minister for Inter Provincial Co-Ordination (IPC) Riaz Hussain Pirzada as chief guest at the closing ceremony of the Baseball Cup.
Preparation of National Team to participate in 11th West Asia Cup, National Baseball Championship will be held in the first week of September 2013.
Invitations will be send to Pakistan Army Baseball Team, Pakistan Police Baseball Team, WAPDA Baseball Team, HEC Baseball Team, Punjab Baseball Team, Sindh Baseball Team, Baluchistan Baseball Team, K.P.K Baseball Team and Islamabad Baseball Team.
Foreign Coach will supervise the National Baseball Training Camp for one month.
Officials say executive committee meeting of Baseball Federation of Asia Chinese Taipei had allocated the prestigious event to Pakistan keeping in view its hosting abilities for similar events in the recent years.
The meeting acknowledged Pakistan’s positive contribution for the promotion of baseball in the country.
Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will be invited for Opening Ceremony and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will be requested on Final Match as Chief Guest for the distribution of medals among winners.
