Imran Khan says will present 4-point agenda at APC
Sunday, September 8th, 2013 6:52:17 by Tahir KhanChairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has said he will present four point agenda in the All Parties Conference that will help restore peace in the country.
Addressing a party convention in Lahore‚ he said Pakistan should abandon the US war on terror and hold talks with Taliban.
He said there is a need of Nelson Mandela’s type of reconciliation policies and military action against those militants should be taken who do not come to the negotiation table.
He said that he wanted to start a dialogue to end terrorism and take Pakistan out of the “US” War on Terror.
He added that he would suggest that the government adopts a policy of reconciliation in the tribal areas based on the pattern of Nelson Mandela’s policy.
“I requested a small meeting with interior minister, chief of army staff and prime minister behind closed doors before the APC because Khyber-Pakhunkhwa is the province most affected by terrorism. I want to know what the government policy on drone strikes is,” he added.
“We will try to stand united against terrorism because without getting rid of this menace Pakistan cannot progress,” he added.
He said that PTI was taking practical steps for the welfare of labourers and an Accountability Bill was being drafted in KPK. He said big fish involved in corruption would be nabbed under the Accountability Law in K-P-K.
