Nation pays homage to Quaid-e-Azam on death anniversary

The day dawned with special prayers and Quran Khawani in mosques for the great leader.
Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah visited the Mazar and and offered fateha.
Several public and private organisations and educational institutions are holding functions to highlight different aspects of the life of Quaid-i-Azam who united the Muslims of the Subcontinent for acquiring a separate homeland.
People from different walks of life‚ including the Government functionaries‚ political leaders and workers are visiting the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi to lay wreaths and offer fateha.
The National Museum of Pakistan has organized an exhibition in Karachi where historic documents and photographs related to Pakistan Movement and Quaid-i-Azam are being displayed.
A three day exhibition of rare photographs of the great leader is also be held at Lok Virsa Museum in Islamabad.
TV channels and Radio Pakistan are airing special programmes to pay homage to the great leader. Excerpts from the speeches of Quaid-i-Azam will also be broadcast during the special transmission.
Messages of President and Prime Minister was broadcast on national hook-up at 07:10 a.m. Extracts from the voice of Quaid-e-Azam and a talk titled‚ ‘Quaid-e-Azam Ek Tareekh Saz Shaksiat’ was also presented in this programme.
Radio Pakistan is broadcasting special programmes to pay homage to the great leader. Excerpts from the speeches of Quaid-i-Azam will also be broadcast during the special transmission.
Excerpts from speech of Quaid-e-Azam was aired in programme Apna Pakistan at 09:05 a.m. while different stations will broadcast songs on Quaid-e-Azam.
A feature programme‚ ‘Quaid-e-Azam Ki Shaksiat Aur Siasi Basirat’ will be broadcast on national hook-up at 04:30 p.m.
Radio reports of ceremonies to be held in different cities on this occasion will be broadcast by radio stations across the country.
Radio Pakistan has recently received the historic speeches delivered in 1947 by Quaid-i-Azam from All India Radio in 1947.
The first speech was delivered on All India Radio in New Delhi about the referendum in NWFP‚ now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the other relates to the address to the first constituent Assembly of Pakistan in Karachi.
