After MQM’s organized violence Karachi returns to normalcy

Markets, petrol stations and schools were opened and the city is back to routine activities. Public transport is now plying on roads and the people took a sigh of relief.
The MQM made a minor matter as an ego issue and pushed the city to shut down, disrupting lives of millions of people.
Karachi has suffered a lot and nearly 1800 people lost lives in the first six months of this year and the city needs a lasting peace.
The plan for a targeted operation had raised hopes for peace in the city and elimination of criminals, kidnappers and extortionists and those who kill innocent people in bomb attacks.
MQM tried to frustrate the planned targeted operation when its leaders issued hostile statements to encourage violence.
The violence started after the arrest of a former MQM MPA Nadeem Hashmi in connection with the killing of two police men. The police men were shot dead at Paposh area of Karachi late Tuesday.
MQM demonstrated power strength by forcing the traders to shut business and its workers burnt buses and the made the city hostile for the whole day on Wednesday.
A shutdown was also observed some areas of Hyderabad.
On Thursday offices and factories were opened for business.
Meanwhile thirty people have been arrested in the ongoing targeted operation against the criminals in Mehran Town‚ Naseeraba‚ Pepri‚ Ghafoor Basti and Sarjani Town.
According to spokesman Sindh Rangers‚ the detainees are involved in extortion and other crimes.
