PM proposes name of Justice Ejaz for NAB Chairman

Leader of the Opposition Syed Khurshid Shah met Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Saturday and considered the name of Justice Mian Muhammad Ajmal for the office of Chairman National Accountability Bureau.

The Prime Minister proposed the name of Justice Ejaz Chaudhry for NAB Chairman.

Later talking to newsmen‚ the opposition leader said he has no serious objection to the name of Ejaz Chauhdry but deliberations are required to bring a consensus and non-controversial personality for the important slot of Chairman NAB.

Responding to a question‚ Khurshid Shah said it is our utmost effort to finalize the name at the earliest.

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Khalid Shameem Wynne called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Saturday and briefed him on matters relating to armed forces.

Talking to him‚ the Prime Minister said all possible steps will be taken to safeguard territorial integrity of the country.
