Explosion kills five militants in Khyber agency

The explosion occurred in the center of a banned militant group “Lashkar-e-Islam” in Bara area, they said.
The group’s spokesman, Younas Khan, was among those killed in the blast.
The group fights Security forces in Khyber region, bordering Afghanistan, the main supply route for NATO forces.
The security forces are engaged in operation against the group and have cleared most of the areas of the group’s fighters.
Officials said that unidentified gunmen shot dead a security man in Jamrud area of Khyber agency. Another man was also injured.
Meanwhile one Pakistani national was killed and another injured in shelling from Afghan side of the border in North Waziristan tribal region, officials and residents said.
Five rockets were landed in Saidgai area close to the border, they said.
Pakistan and Afghanistan usually accuse each other of cross-border shelling that cause tensions between the two uneasy neighbours.
