Bomb attack on police van kills 6 in Balochistan

A bomb attack killed six people including three policemen in Balochistan province on Monday, police sources said.

The remote-controlled bomb targeted a police van in Pashin district when it was on routine patrolling, they said.

Police confirmed three policemen who were injured in the attack died of wounds in hospital. Three passersby were also killed in the attack.

The blast injured six people including policemen. The blast destroyed the vehicle. Three injured were registered critical.

No group claimed responsibility.

The authorities blame militants for attacks on security forces.

 Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the bomb blast in Pashin Baluchistan, which resulted into the loss of precious human lives and injured several others.

Sympathizing with the bereaved families, the Prime Minister prayed to Allah Almighty for to bless the departed souls with eternal peace and grant courage to their families to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.

The Prime Minister also prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the unfortunate incident.
