India terms Nawaz Sharif-Manmohan meeting successful

India Sunday described as useful the meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York.
Briefing media after the meeting‚ Indian National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon said that both the sides want to resolve the issues between the two countries and wish to see better relations and broader dialogue to address these issues.
“We want to promote trade‚ economic and other relations.”
He said the issues like Siachen‚ Sir Creek‚ ceasefire along the Line of Control and Balochistan were also discussed.
He said both the sides have agreed for ceasefire along the LoC and the Director General Military Operations level meeting will discuss the incidents of violation of the ceasefire along the LoC and find out some ways to resolve this issue.
He said the issues terrorism and Mumbai attacks were also discussed and Prime Minister
Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan is also suffering the menace of terrorism.
He said both the premiers invited each other to visit their countries.
The Pakistani delegation included Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz‚ Finance Minister Ishaq Dar‚ Minister for Water and Power Khwaja Asif‚ Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi‚ Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani and Pakistan’s permanent representative in the United Nations Masood Khan.
The Indian delegation includes among others External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid‚ Indian National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon and External Affairs Secretary Sujatha Singh.
