Fuel, power bombs: PML-N launches war on masses
Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 9:57:28 by Tahir KhanThe Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, which came into power to serve the masses, has dropped another huge bomb of massive increase in power and fuel prices.
The fuel prices were increased at a time when it is fast decreasing at international market over ease in tension in Syria and economic situation in the U.S.
At the same time India has decreased oil prices in view of the downward trend at the international market. Our leaders usually talk about India but when it comes to decrease in prices, they then they turn eyes to other direction.
People in Pakistan now offer praise for the former Pakistan Peoples Party government as the PML-N has badly hit the poor and want to punish the people just for nothing.
The PML-N has the credit to hike the prices four times in just four months of its rule. People could now expect such huge bombs to fall every month as the PML-N has exposed its intention to the people of Pakistan.
Sharif and his clique do not care as the Finance Ministry has been gifted to his close relative, senator Ishaq Dar, who does not know problems of the people.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, owner of a private airlines, is also oblivious of the consequences of the petrol bombs he has been firing like American drones on the helpless people of Pakistan since June when the PML-N formed the government.
There is no change in the lavish style of Nawaz Sharif and his ministers as the Prime Minister is also making record of foreign trips. He has paid three foreign visits just in four months. His media team has spent millions of rupees on the trips of journalists in the country and abroad.
Pakistanis were expected some relief as they had been hit by price hike during the government of the PPP. But it did not happen and the PML-N proved to be counterproductive for the people of Pakistan.
Can Shahid Khaqan looks at the news coming from India where fuel prices have been slashed. I think no as they have shut eyes.
Ishaq Dar, being a senator, does not know problems of the people as he has no time to stay in Pakistan but to accompany the Prime Minister in foreign trips.
PML-N in is a mess as it has no direction and it violated its own promise not to approach the IMF but it did just weeks after it reached at the corridors of power.
Nawaz Sharif has never talked about the problems of the poor since he has assumed office for third time. People were expecting Sharif will address to the basic problems of Pakistan but he gifted disappointment to the people in early months of his rule.
The government must be aware do not test patience of the people who have lost hopes due to wave of terrorism and many other problems.
All opposition parties must take full responsibilities of the unchecked blunders of the ruling coalition as they do not mount pressure on the government from taking anti-people decisions. The people could not be made fool only on mere slogans as they want practical action.
