Local bodies elections in Balochistan on Dec 7

Balochistan government becomes the first to decide to hold Local Bodies elections on December 7.

This decision was made during a high level meeting held in Quetta on Tuesday.

The meeting discussed arrangements to hold the local bodies elections in the province under the judgement of Supreme Court.

Chief Secretary Balochistan‚ Babar Yaqoob Fateh Mohammad who chaired the meeting directed Provincial Home Secretary that comprehensive plan may be prepared for holding free‚ fair and peaceful elections.

The meeting was told that necessary amendment in Local Government Act was approved by provincial assembly which is imposed in the province.

Secretaries Local Government‚ Home and Law‚ representatives of NADRA and Provincial Election Commission attended the meeting.
