Karachi raids lead to apprehension of suspects and weapons

Rangers have been conducting a search operation in Karachi after firing between two rival groups in Lyari. While the groups have reached a ceasefire, the Rangers have apprehended several suspects and weapons according to Geo News.

Reportedly, the Rangers carried out an operation in Kumharwara at night and took suspects into custody. Police and Ranger forces raiding other parts of Karachi, including Memon Nagar, Singu Lane, Muzaffarabad Colony, Dera Rahmat, Hazara Chowk, Nazimabad, Frontier Colony, Metroville and SITE have been able to apprehend around 85 suspects in total along with 287 weapons, including both small and heavy firearms.

It is believed that members of banned outfits and suspects in extortion and target killing cases are included in the apprehended tally. The Police also claimed to have a target killer in custody who belongs to a political party.
