Musharraf’s bail petition in Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case approved
Monday, November 4th, 2013 3:12:51 by Ahmad MehdiAccording to sources in Islamabad, General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s bail in the Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case was approved by Additional Session Judge, Wajid Ali, on Monday.
Earlier in the day, the judge heard the counsel for the retired General, who urged the court to reach a verdict for the bail petition, which had already been adjourned seven times.
After the approval of his clients petition, Musharraf’s council told media that the former President and General will not be leaving the country and has furnished two surety bonds of Rs 100,000 for bail.
Speaking to the media, Musharraf’s counsel said the former president would remain in the country. According to the counsel, bail had been granted against two surety bonds of RS 100,000.
On the previous hearing of the case, on Friday, the court had heard both sides but reserved judgment till later.
