Shahid Afridi confident Pakistan can pull off a series win against the South Africans

After guiding Pakistan to a comprehensive 66 run win against the woeful South Africans in second one dayer, Pakistan’s maverick all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi seems confident of a series win against the South Africans.

Pakistan have been on the top of their game in the first two games, especially in the bowling department and although the mighty Africans will be getting reinforcements in the form of Hashim Amla and Dale Steyn for the rest of three one dayers, Afridi believes that Pakistan are holding the advantage.

“There is no doubt Amla and Steyn will strengthen South Africa but the way our bowlers are doing, I am sure we can beat South Africa,” Afridi told reporters.

The all-rounder who won the man of match award in the last game after scoring 26 runs of 20 balls and taking 3 for 26 while bowling, also insisted that his side’s batting will eventually come good.

“The batting needs to be improved, it’s a matter of applying ourselves, like the way Ahmed Shehzad is playing, so I am sure improvement will come,” said Afridi.
