ISPR says Syed Munawar Hassan made misguided statements
Monday, November 11th, 2013 5:18:45 by Ahmad MehdiResponding to the Ameer of Jamat-e-Islami, Syed Munawar Hassan’s comments regarding dead terrorists, in which he labeled them shaheeds, a Pakistan army spokesperson criticized the remarks as misguiding and self serving.
The ISPR press release stated that the comments were made for political benefit and people are not in doubt about the real enemies of the state, the terrorists.
“Sacrifices of our shuhada and their families need no endorsement from Syed Munawar Hassan and such misguided and self-serving statements deserve no comments,” added the spokesperson.
He also expressed disappointment at the fact that such remarks came from a person of high authority in a major political party, the Jamat-e-Islami, which was founded by Maulana Maududi.
According to the release, people of Pakistan, the heirs of those who have lost their lives fighting terrorists on home soil and victims of terrorism deserve an apology from Syed Munawar Hassan, who passed these remarks during a television programme.
Similar issues were raised at the death of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan leader Hakimullah Mehsud, who was killed in a drone strike earlier this month. Political figures in the country started condemning the killing, labeling Mehsud a martyr.

Are Pakistan Fuji fighting for Islam or are they fighting to protect the American interest in the region? The TTP came in to existence because of the misguide policies of Pakistani govt. and the Army. Just like same as what happened in East Pakistan and now in Baluchistan and KPK.
So tell us honestly Maulana Saheb, from where this confused nation import soldiers to save this fledgling country ?
Maulana tell us deep down from your heart if the government withdraw all the forces who are not eligible to get the title of Shahadat, would you mind sending your Tsquad to fight there,we will be proud of you.
