Three killed in Kohat clashes including two policemen

The situation remains critical and the authorities have called in the army to maintain law and order. The clashes have also resulted in several people being injured, including a journalist.
The city’s exit and entry points have been sealed and a curfew has been imposed in Kohat and Hangu.
Rawalpindi was also under curfew following sectarian clashes on Friday, which saw as many as 10 dead and several injured. Even though the curfew was lifted on Monday, protestors gathered and forced shops in major markets to close down.
Several other areas around the country have also reported unrest and protests following Friday’s tragedy, forcing the authorities to take stringent measures for the protection of the people and maintenance of law and order.
