Musharraf’s petition hearing adjourned till November 22

The Singh High Court (SHC) adjourned former president Pervez Musharraf’s petition hearing till November 22 on Monday.

The former president, whose name is on the exit control list (ECL) had filed a petition in the Singh High Court through his counsel A.Q. Halepota. According to his lawyer, Musharraf’s mother is sick and he needs to leave the country in order to visit her, for which it is essential that his name be struck off the exit control list.

 According to Musharraf’s counsel, the former president is on bail in regards to the cases against him, which include Akbar Bugti and Benazir Bhutto murder cases.

The hearing, which was scheduled for today was adjourned as the Deputy Attorney General was not present. Now the court will hear the petition on November 22.
