Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has been extremely vocal ever since the US drone strikes inside Hangu on November 21 which had left about six people dead. Their party chairman Imran Khan had recently vowed to block the NATO supply routes which pass through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), a province in which his party has the government, and in recent development, the party has approached the provincial Inspector General Police (IGP) to nominate the US and its much maligned spy agency CIA in the Hangu drone strike FIR. The earlier FIR was lodged against unknown persons.

The written request posed forward by the party’s Central Legal Secretary, Barrister Suleman Afridi was based on the three tenets, the comments of the interior minister Chaudry Nisar, a Washington Post report regarding the strikes and the recent decisions of the Peshawar High Court on the matter.
