PPP nominates Syed Khurshid Shah as chairman of PAC

Pakistan Peoples Party was given the task to nominate a chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and sources claim that they have decided to give the name of the opposition leader of the National Assembly, Syed Khurshid Shah.
Sources have claimed that Pakistan Peoples Party first decided to nominate Dr. Azra Fazal for this post. However, the government insisted that this must not be the case and imposed in order to change the decision. Now the opposition leader in the lower house of the parliament will be appointed as the PAC chairman.
There were several consultations made before a final decision was taken. However, all the leaders in the Pakistan Peoples Party later decided to nominate the name of Syed Khurshid Shah for the post of the PAC chairman.
