Ireland Wins T20 Qualifying Tournament

The match took place between Afghanistan and Ireland and Afghanistan lost the game by 68 runs after the match finished off on Saturday.
Paul Stirling opened the batting for Ireland and gave his side the perfect start. The Stirling was able to score a massive 76 in only 43 balls which he played. However, soon enough, the 39-year-old Johnston came to the pitch and was able to 62 runs in only 32 balls. He was able to hit five fours and four sixes in the process. The inning ended with Ireland giving making 225 runs with 3 wickets still to spare.
Johnston’s batting was not the only thing that managed to help Ireland achieve what they did last time. The star player was able to bowl well as well. The Irish all-rounder took 3 wickets and gave away only 32 runs.
Afghanistan were left in tatters as Gulbadin Naib scored 43 runs and Samiullah Shenwari scored the second highest runs, 5. Afghanistan’s total could only amass to 157 runs as they were bowled out in only 18.5 overs.
