Nisar Meets Ashfaq Pervez Kayani

The interior minister of Pakistan, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, decided to meet up with former Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani.

Kayani has been under the spotlight for the past few weeks since he was spending his last days as the Chief of Army Staff.

This is the reason why Ashfaq Pervez Kayani has been extremely busy with several different meetings and farewell dinners. The biggest event took place when the reigning Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, decided to invite General Kayani to his place in order to give him a farewell dinner. Several other political party leaders were also invited to this event as they were all to bid farewell to one of the most composed Chief of Army Staff which the country has ever seen.

Kayani was given a 3-year extension back in the year 2010 when his term came to an end. Now his 3-year term is over and his successor, Raheel Sharif, has taken over the stage.

Regarding the fact that he is no longer the Chief of Army Staff, Inter minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, decided to call him up in order to thank him for his services.

While addressing the press, Nisar hailed the long services of Kayani and said: “The former Army Chief set good traditions during his military service.”
