“No Political Difference on Elimination of Terrorism” – Pervaiz Rashid

The information minister, Pervaiz Rashid, came out in the open and claimed on Tuesday that everyone wants to eliminate terrorism in Pakistan and there is no party, sect, or group that would beg to differ with this fact.

Pervaiz Rashid’s comments have come after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has claimed that they want to put a case on the American secret agency, ISI, as they are the reason why the US drone attacks have been taking place, killing countless number of people in the process.

Moreover, PTI is also the only party in the country that wants to hold talks with Taliban. However, a recent event did not let talks proceed as a US drone attack killed their leader.

In retaliation to the drone attacks, PTI has been involved in sit-ins, where they have banned all NATO supplies to and from Afghanistan. They want justice and claim that US should stop these drone attacks or they will not be getting up anytime soon.

Other political parties differ from what PTI’s stance is on this particular issue. However, Pervaiz Rashid has claimed that for now there is no political difference among any party when it comes down to eliminating terrorism from Pakistan.

While addressing the media, Rashid stated that once anti-terrorism laws are made, judiciary will be strengthened.
