Pakistan Idol to Start on Friday

The country’s very own music competition is ready to begin after the ultimate hype during the auditions.

American Idol, which is famous in America, is owned by Simon Fuller, and after hitting several other countries it has now come to Pakistan. This is for the first time that Pakistan will be hosting a show with ‘idol’ in it as the rights were globally reserved by Simon Fuller.

This show is being hosted by India for quite some time and now it has taken Pakistan by storm as the hype created by the media is immense.

The auditions started before the month of Moharram since the religious values of the country had to remain intact. All the major cities of Pakistan were covered and several people stood in lines only to audition for Pakistan idol, a show which has renowned celebrities, Ali Azmat, Hadiqa Kiani and Bushra Ansari as its judges.

Since the month of Moharram has now come to an end, the show has finally received the green light to begin. It is being reported that this show will being on Friday, as the whole country will be able to watch it live on Geo TV, who are also the official sponsors for the show alongside Pepsi.

The show will start at 9PM Pakistan Standard Time.
