South Africa Surprises India
Thursday, December 5th, 2013 7:00:34 by Ahmad MehdiSouth Africa, after playing a series against Pakistan and losing against the away team, are now playing against India. The African giants were able to surprise Pakistan while being away from home but were shocked by the Asian side when they visited South Africa.
However, now the South Africans are playing against the World Champions, India. The first game saw South Africa setting up a target of 358 runs, which seems unachievable for the Asian side. Young Quinton de Kock scored a massive century to help his side achieve this target.
Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy were also on the scoring sheet. They were all able to score fifties in order to help South Africa reach this score.
When the game started, Amla seemed to be out of form. However, he was still able to score 65 runs as the openers stood for a 152-run partnership.
De Kock seemed to be in extraordinary touch as soon as he entered the ground. The South African star player made 135 runs only off 121 balls; his best score so far.
On the other hand, AB de Villiers and Paul Duminy added a further 105 runs in only 7.4 overs. De Villiers managed to hit four sixes and four fours, while Duminy was able to hit five sixes and four fours.
