Real Madrid Pick a Draw in Copa Del Rey

Los Blancos, who are currently missing their star striker in the shape of Cristiano Ronaldo, managed to take a draw as the Spanish Cup took place over the weekend.

With the Spanish La Liga not starting over the weekend, the teams were playing for the Copa del Rey. The Catalan giants, Barcelona, were able to win their fixture 4-1, and it was time for Real Madrid to show their class but they were unable to do so as they travelled away from home in order to face CD Olimpic Xativa.

The match started at Xativa’s home ground and Real Madrid were favourite to win. The Spanish giants have been in scintillating form and they were expected to destroy their lower tier opponents. However, this was not the case.

Real Madrid tried their luck on the opposition goal for a number of times, but the home team guarded their goal really well and it seemed as if their strategy was to get a draw from Los Blancos at least in one game.

They are now going to travel to Real Madrid’s home ground, Santiago Bernabeu, where Los Blancos are expected to win since there is a possibility that Cristiano Ronaldo might return from his respective injury.
