While playing in the home stadium of Galatasaray, both the teams, Galatasaray and Juventus, had to move out because of the heavy snowfall. It took the snow only 10 minutes to take its toll and the players were unable to continue.

The match has now been officially abandoned and will be played later. UEFA has claimed that even though both the teams have played 32 minutes on the pitch, the match will continue from the start.

For the first 32 minutes, Juventus were unable to break the deadlock and the score was tied at 0-0. A win in Galatasaray would help the Italian giants take a step into the next round as they are currently sitting only on 6 points. On the other hand, Real Madrid were able to win 2-0 against Kobenhavn and they are now sitting at 16 points, 10 more than the second-placed Juventus. This means that the Spanish giants have already qualified for the next round of the UEFA Champions League.

Juventus are favourites to end up in the next round of the European competition. This is because they have already managed to accumulate 6 points and they need only 4 more from 2 games in order to reach the pre-quarter final stage of the UEFA Champions League.
