Barcelona Draws Manchester City in Champions League

The news broke out yesterday night when the draws for the UEFA Champions League took place in Switzerland. All the top teams from Europe were glued to their TV screens as they were curious about who they might draw in the UEFA Champions League as the pre-quarter final stage starts in February.

Three of the best results in the tournament were drawn by the European Football governing body, UEFA. The first draw which is being anticipated by several people around the globe is between Barcelona and the Premier League giants, Manchester City.

Manchester City have been performing phenomenally during this season. Their new coach, Manuel Pellegrini, has managed to prove himself on all fronts as he has helped Manchester City qualify for the next round of the European competition and is currently sitting on the second spot in the English Premier League.

On the other hand, Barcelona are currently at the top of the Spanish La Liga table, losing only two games in all competitions. However, their star striker, Lionel Messi, is still out injured and is expected to return before the Manchester City game.

The other two most anticipated fixtures include the likes of Arsenal vs. Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid vs. AC Milan.
