60 Suspects Caught in Rawalpindi Search Operation

Two groups had a huge fight in Rawalpindi and several people lost their lives after which the city caught fire and many buildings, markets and houses were burnt.
In order to maintain law and order during Chehlum, which is expected to take place on Tuesday in Rawalpindi, the police and other law enforcing agencies conducted a search operation. They decided to round up every suspect who they believe may cause trouble on Tuesday. It has been reported that as many as 60 suspects were arrested from the Hazara colony on Sunday.
Sources have stated that this drill has taken place so that they can maintain law and order during the chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS). Police and LEAs are involved in this operation and they have searched different areas of the city.
The police carried out the first operation in the Hazara colony, which falls under the vicinity of Rata Imral Police Station. The operation helped the LEAs capture 60 suspects and took them all into custody. Later, 40 were freed once the interrogation was over. 20 of these suspects are still in the custody of the police.
