Turkish Prime Minister Visits Pakistan
Monday, December 23rd, 2013 9:41:22 by Ahmad MehdiIt was reported from Lahore that the Turkish Prime Minister, Recip Tayyab Erdogan, has arrived in Lahore during the early hours of Monday. The trip is going to last for two days.
The Turkish Prime Minister is in Lahore as a leader of a delegation which comprises of several ministers, businessmen and entrepreneurs. This delegation is going to explore Pakistan and see for different avenues where they can invest in the country. Diverse industries have been looked upon by the Turkish PM so far as told by the sources.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was present in order to welcome the Turkish Prime Minister as he arrived at the Lahore Airport.
It is expected that the two countries are going to sign agreements on different power-related projects. Pakistan is currently experiencing a problem in terms of power supple and Turkey is willing to help them out with the situation. It is expected that both the countries will be signing a number of agreements on coal power projects, construction of dams and other energy sectors. Moreover, other things such as trade will also be discussed during this two-day trip.
The Prime Minister of Turkey is going to be taking part in a dinner which will be hosted by Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
