Pakistan’s Cricket Team’s Squad for Sri Lankan Test Selected

It was reported from Lahore that Pakistan Cricket Board has taken a final decision on the squad that will be representing Pakistan in the test series which are taking place in Abu Dhabi, against Sri Lanka.

Fifteen players have been selected for the team and while Mohammad Hafeez is included in the line-up, Mohammad Talha has also managed to make a comeback in the team as well.

Before these test series, Mohammad Hafeez was discarded as Pakistan faced South Africa back in October. However, now the 33-year old has proven himself after scoring three centuries in the five-match one day series against Sri Lanka. This performance has helped him regain his place in the test squad.

Currently Pakistan are leading the one day series 3-1 and they have virtually won the trophy.

The squad which has been selected by the Pakistan Cricket Board is as follows:

Misbah-ul Haq (captain), Mohammad Hafeez, Ahmed Shahzad, Khurram Manzoor, Shan Masood, Azhar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Younis Khan, Adnan Akmal, Junaid Khan, Saeed Ajmal, Abdul Rehman, Umar Gul, Rahat Ali, Muhammad Talha.

Pakistan will be facing Sri Lanka in the first test match on December 31st, 2013. The second test is going to take place on January 8th while the third will start on 16th of January.
