Schedule for Punjab Local Bodies Elections Revealed

Even though there were rumours that the Local Bodies’ Elections in Punjab are going to be halted, there schedule for filing your nominations has been revealed to all the people who want to become a part of the government.

There was an issue regarding the delimitation and several people claimed that holding LB elections before sorting out the delimitation issue is against human rights. However, now the schedule is out and it has been revealed that the elections will take place in the month of January.

It was reported from Lahore that if there are to be any objections to the nomination papers for Local Government Elections taking place in Punjab, then those objections are to be filed before Sunday as the six-day process of submitting the nominations papers is now complete and people have already registered themselves as candidates.

The schedule claims that the scrutiny of the nomination papers is going to take place between 30^th December and January 4^th.

If there are any appeals against acceptance or rejections of nomination papers, then they should be filed before January 6^th and 7^th. However, everything will be disposed between 8^th to 11^thof January.

The elections will take place on the 30^th of January.
