The attendees including Ch. Nisar, Minister for Interior, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Chief of General Staff Lt. General Ashfaq Nadeem, Director General ISI and MI along with Secretaries of Interior and Law ministries.
“There is no space for the elements attacking innocent civilians and armed forces and they must be prosecuted with effectiveness,” said the Prime Minister.
“We will adopt coordinated strategy to root out the menace of terrorism,” he further added.
Terrorism has been a menace for this region and despite the ‘War on Terror’, militant forces have continually disrupted social, political and economic conditions in Pakistan and its neighbouring countries.
Attacks across different cities of Pakistan are common and they further fuel sectarian violence which leads to innocent civilian deaths along with government apparatus being attacked.
Pakistan has been an ally of the United States in the war against terrorism and has suffered huge financial losses along with a hefty body count. The PM stated that the civil and military administrations are going to be working together to curb terrorism in Karachi, FATA and PATA.
