Couple Married by Choice Shot Dead in Punjab

It was reported from Pakpattan that on Monday morning two dead bodies were found near Chak number 107 and later it was revealed how both of them died. The male dead body was of a guy named Amjad while the female dead body was of a girl named Sana.
Sources stated that Sana and Amjad decided to marry by choice and their families never agreed to this. This is the reason why the Panchayat came into the picture and decided to give a final verdict on the decision which the two of them took on their own.
The Panchayat decided that Sana, despite being married to Amjad, should move back to her parents’ house and should not live with Amjad anymore. However, both of them started meeting despite the fact that they were not allowed to.
On Sunday evening, Sana decided to go meet Amjad once again. However, this time Sana’s brothers decided to follow her and ended up seeing the reunion between the couple. It has been reported that Sana’s brothers shot them both and killed them on the spot.
After the incident, Sana’s brothers decided to go to the police station in order to surrender themselves.
