Musharraf to Receive Medical Treatment in Exile
Wednesday, January 8th, 2014 3:13:36 by Ahmad MehdiIt has been reported from Islamabad that the former military ruler, General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf is going to receive treatment in exile. The former president of Pakistan is currently facing treason charges but due to his medical conditions he might be leaving the country in order to receive a treatment.
Yesterday it was announced that Musharraf will not be able to make it to his hearing in the court due to his illness. Later, the court received his blood and urine test. Even though on Wednesday morning the rumours claimed that he will be staying in Pakistan and his illness can be treated locally, now the sources claim that he has been allowed to leave the country in order to receive full treatment on his problems.
On January 7, 2014, it was revealed that General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf is suffering from a serious health problem. His medical reports were handed over to the judge and he received a two-day exemption from the court. However, now the former president of Pakistan is going to receive medical treatment abroad which means that he will have to leave the country, something which was not allowed when he was under a house arrest during the time the May elections were being held.
