Protests against Mastung Carnage Continue
Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 12:37:04 by Ahmad MehdiIt was reported from Karachi that the sit-ins against the Mastung Carnage have continued not only throughout Karachi but also in other areas of the country. People of different cities of Pakistan are expressing their solidarity with the families of those who were martyred in the Mastung Suicide Attack. This is the reason why the protestors have taken to the streets in not only Quetta but in different cities of Pakistan.
The Majlis E Wahadat E Muslimeen (MWM) are conducting these protests which have taken over major roads in different cities. These protests are being well attended by men, women and children. They all turned out in large numbers as they are trying to voice their anger against the tragic incident which took the lives of many Muslims.
Currently the blockage on MA Jinnah Road has caused a mess for the Karachi traffic.
On the other hand, the sit-in in Lahore was organized right outside the governor house. This was also headed by MWM, who held hands with Imamia Students Organization.
Cities where such sit-ins are being held include the likes of Islamabad, Shikarpur, Hyderabad, Multan, Dadu, Nawabshah and other major cities of Pakistan.
The protestors claim that they will continue these sit-ins unless the Hazara Community bury their dead in Quetta and end their protest.
