It was reported from Karachi that all schools, colleges and universities will remain closed on Friday due to the strike which is currently being led by Majlis E Wahadat Ul Muslimeen. Moreover, this has also been announced as the day of mourning by two religious parties.

This strike has been called because of two different reasons. Majlis E Wahadat Ul Muslimeen are currently protesting against the killing of the people from the Hazara Community. An incident took place this week where lots of Hazaras were killed in a suicide bomb attack. There have been several strikes and sit-ins throughout the major cities of Pakistan.

On the other hand, JUI-S leader, Maulana Yousuf Shah, also came out in the open and said that their party will also be calling a strike on Friday because their leader, Mufti Usman Yar Khan, lost his life in the same week.

This is the reason why all private and government schools were decided to remain closed. Moreover, colleges and universities will also remain shut throughout the day. The two-day mourning period is going to end on Saturday night. This means that all schools, colleges and universities will return to their regular routine by Monday.
