Gangster Killed in Lyari Encounter

Yesterday the Lyari area of the city of Karachi was under threat as two gangs fought each other. In the aftermath there were two grenades thrown and three people lost their lives while three other were injured.

After the incident took place, the police forces and the rangers decided to take action. Karachi has been home to several people who have not been following the law. This is the reason why the security forces, rangers and other law enforcing agencies have decided to take an action against such people so that they can drive them away.

This is also the reason why the police decided to take action against the gangs in Lyari who were fighting against each other on Thursday. Since the police tried to take them on, they retaliated. Therefore, there was heavy cross-firing between the police and the gang itself. According to reports, during this crossfire, the police managed to kill one of the gang leaders in Karachi.

After the incident police explained to the press how the accused was involved in several different crimes and the police was looking for him since the past several months.

A hand grenade and a Kalashnikov was seized from the possession of the accused, however the identities of other people who have lost their lives were not revealed to the general public.
