MWM Ends Protest in Quetta
Friday, January 24th, 2014 10:48:36 by Ahmad MehdiIt was recently reported from Quetta that the Majlis E Wahadat Ul Muslimeen (MWM) have asked the whole nation to stop the nationwide protests since the Hazara Community has decided to end their protest in Quetta and they will be burying their dead today.
After the suicide attack on Mastung, several people from the Hazara Community lost their lives. In return they decided to bring their dead into public and they protested that they will not be burying anyone unless the government takes strict action against these killings.
This is the reason why the whole nation decided to take a stand against the government as well. Several major cities of Pakistan staged protests on the streets while the Hazara Community decided to keep their dead on the road. MWM was the leading party and they were the ones leading protests all across the country.
However, now Majlis E Wahadat Ul Muslimeen have come out in the open and stated that nationwide protests should be stopped since the Hazara Community has decided to bury their dead today.
This has been done because the government made certain promises to the Hazara Community. However, MWM leader, Raja Nasir Abbas, has said that if these promises are not fulfilled then another sit-in will be staged in Islamabad.
