India Ready to Face Pakistan on Neutral Venue
Saturday, January 25th, 2014 3:03:09 by Ahmad MehdiGood news for cricket fans as they will now be able to watch Pakistan battling out against their direct cricketing rivals, India, on a neutral venue. The match either took place in India, or didn’t take place at all since Pakistan is currently not allowed to host any cricketing event.
Sources in Mumbai claim that the Indian Cricket Board (Board of Control of Cricket – BCCI) has finally taken a positive decision regarding cricketing ties with Pakistan.
Reports claim that it has been decided by the Indian Cricket Board that they are willing to take part in a series where Pakistan will battle out against India on a neutral venue, most probably UAE.
This development took place after a telephonic conversation between BCCI president, N. Srinivasan and the Pakistani Cricket Board Chairman, Zaka Ashraf.
Despite the fact that this decision has been taken, N. Srinivasan has still claimed that the possibility of such a series taking place before 2015 is almost zero. This is because there is absolutely no window for India throughout this time as they are busy with their current schedule.
Pakistan and India last faced each other in a competitive match back in 2012-2013 when they played out a one-day and T-20 series.
