Thursday, January 30th, 2014 3:43:42 by Ahmad MehdiIt was reported from Peshawar that two children lost their lives in a bomb explosion which took place in Landi Kotal Tehsil of Khyber Agency. Reports claim that both the children were playing with toys and a toy-like bomb exploded which left the two boys dead.
The incident took place in the Zakakhel Bazaar, which is located in the centre of the city. Political Administration officials came out in the open in order to explain the whole scenario. They claimed that the bomb was planted inside a toy-like figure and while the children were playing with it, the bomb exploded and killed them on the spot.
Daftar Khan, who is the political Tehsildar of the agency, later confirmed that both the children lost their lives because of the bomb blast.
Khyber agency is located on the semi-autonomous tribal belt which is right next to the Afghan border. This area is said to be a stronghold for the Taliban and also Al-Qaeda linked groups; two outlawed groups operating within Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The blast which took place in Zakakhel Bazaar is also being attributed to both these outlawed groups as there have been several other instances where they were involved and people lost their lives.
