Karachi Firing: Professor Azhar Zaidi Killed, Wife Injured

It was recently reported from Karachi that four people, along with Professor Azhar Zaidi, were killed in separate firing incidents which took place in the city. There have been many such incidents in the port city of Pakistan and people are now scared for their lives even though the police and the rangers are trying to get a hold on the culprits who are behind such events.

The first, out of the two incidents, took place near Aysha Manzil in Karachi. This is where Professor Azhar Zaidi was martyred after few unidentified people came on a bike and open fired on their vehicle. Police claims that Professor Azhar Zaidi lost his life on the spot; however, his wife who was also travelling with him managed to survive and has been severely injured. She was shifted to a nearby hospital in order to recover. On the other hand, the body of Professor Azhar Zaidi was also taken to the same hospital for Medical and Legal formalities.

In the other incident a police officer, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Manzoor, was shot dead in Gulshan E Bihar Orangi. He was recently deployed at the SP Office in North Nazimabad.

Two more people lost their lives due to firing in Quaidabad Area and New Karachi.
