Jamaat-e-Islami Ready to Observe Kashmir Solidarity Day Tomorrow
Tuesday, February 4th, 2014 3:47:21 by Hunain NaseerKashmir Solidarity day will be observed all over Pakistan tomorrow, February 05, 2014, and the Jamaat-e-Islami aims to provide both political and moral support to the freedom movement in occupied Kashmir.
Pakistan has historically had a tumultuous relationship with India and the dispute over Kashmir is one of the major issues between the two countries. The Kashmiris have long been struggling for freedom and the right of self determination as per resolutions of the UN. In such a scenario, Pakistanis believe they have an obligation to do everything in their power to help the Kashmiri struggle for freedom.
According to JI spokesman, the party will host a rally in the federal capital where Syed Munawar Hasan will address the participants. The rally in Karachi is going to include several senior JI members including Liaqat Baloch, Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui and Hafiz Naemur Rahman.
A rally will also be held in Muzaffarabad, led by Abdur Rashid Turabi, while the rally in Lahore will be led by Dr. Farid Ahmed Paracha, Dr. Syed Waseem Akhtar and Mian Maqsood Ahmed.
Peshawar will also see a rally, which will be led by Sirajul Haq, Prof. Ibrahim Khan and Sahibzada Taraqullah and the Quetta procession will be led by Abdul Mateen Akhudzada and Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi.
