Karachi Police Registers FIR of Gagar Phatak Railway Track Blast

It was recently reported from Karachi that the Police has registered the First Investigation Report of the blast which took place at the railway track of Gagar Phatak yesterday. It was stated that the blast was targeting the Shalimar Express Train.

Sources in the police forces claim that the reports have been registered against unknown assailants at Steel Mills Police Station, on the behalf of Pakistan Railways. These reports were later confirmed by SP Bin Qasim, Chaudhry Shaifullah. The FIR number for this particular case is 42/2014.

Besides sections such as murder and injuries, this FIR was also lodged under several other sanctions. These sanctions include the likes of anti-terrorism and explosives acts.

The incident took place on Wednesday and left the people in shock. Shalimar train was on its way to the Gagar Phatak when the blast took place. This caused the train to get derailed. Three rail cars of Shalimar Express were overturned during the process.

Reports claim that several people sustained injuries during the process. There was only one person who could not succumb to the wounds and lost her life. This blast took place at Gagar Phatak on Tuesday.
