Musharraf Unlikely to Appear in Court
Thursday, February 6th, 2014 10:16:03 by Ahmad MehdiIt has been reported from Islamabad that the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) leader, Dr Amjad, came out in the open and spoke about the former president of Pakistan, General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf. He stated that the former Pakistani president is still not feeling well and the doctors are going to decide whether he will be able to appear in court on 7th of February or not.
During a news conference which took place in Islamabad, Dr Amjad stated that General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf is still not feeling well and there are less to no chances of him appearing in the court on February 7th. He further claimed that they have already filed a petition in the Supreme Court so that any confrontation with the judiciary can be avoided.
Dr Amjad also claimed that there are currently three to four neutral judges in the judiciary and he expects them to come out with a positive decision. He also stated that Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari and Chaudhry Shujaat all received treatment abroad. Therefore, General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf should also have the liberty to go abroad in order to regain health.
He said, “Every person has the freedom to choose if they want to be treated abroad.”
