Musharraf’s Counsel: “There Will Be a Surprise in Friday’s Meeting”

It was recently reported from Islamabad that the defence team of the former President of Pakistan, General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf, has stated that on Friday, when a meeting with the court takes place regarding Musharraf’s matter, a surprise is awaited for everyone.

Musharraf is currently fighting his treason case during the time he was the president of the country. However, he has submitted a medical report claiming that he is unwell and that is the reason why he will not be able to make it to his hearing this time round as well.

His counsel has also forwarded his medical reports, where they claim that he is not only sick, but in fact he will also need to get a treatment from abroad. However, for now, the court has not allowed him to leave the country.

While talking about the meeting that is going to take place on Friday, his counsel, Ahmad Raza Kasuri, said, “We don’t want to disclose the plan just yet, as we don’t want our rivals, court and Prime Minister to become aware of it in advance.” He further added, “We will give the surprise tomorrow.”
