Fahad Aziz Released by the Police

Recently an incident took place where the police took a Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker, Fahad Aziz, into custody. It was reported that the MQM worker was arrested during the time he was leading his Bara’at (wedding motorcade) towards a wedding lawn located near the Shah Faisal Colony.

Fahad Aziz, who is a resident of Korangi Town, Karachi, was getting married on Sunday and while leading his Bara’at, the police arrested him and took him into custody. The marriage had to be stopped as Fahad was taken to the nearby police station.

In the police station, the two policemen who took him into custody gave him a severe beating. This is the reason why later he was released because he had deteriorating health conditions.

SSP East, Pir Muhammad Shah, was the one who gave out the full report to the press. He claimed that Fahad Aziz was allowed to leave on personal bond. Moreover, he also said that during his time in prison, he was given a severe beating due to which he was later hospitalized.

It has been reported that both the policemen responsible for beating up Fahad Aziz have been called in for an explanation. Pir Muhammad Shah claims that action will be taken against both these police officers.
