Special Court to hear Musharraf’s Treason Case
Monday, February 17th, 2014 7:30:48 by Ahmad MehdiGeneral (Retd) Pervez Musharraf is still fighting for his treason case despite the fact that he has been labelled ill by his doctor. His council most recently told the press that they are going to give the special court a surprise in the morning and everyone is anxiously waiting what they have to say.
Musharraf is fighting the treason case regarding the military coup which he imposed back when Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz was in charge of the whole situation.
The former president of Pakistan has been sending in medical reports which claim that he is sick and requires bed rest. However, the court most recently stated that if Musharraf is unable to make it to the court’s hearing on Tuesday, he will be issued an arrest warrant. Therefore, it will be mandatory of the former president of Pakistan to make it to the court despite the fact that he is ill.
The case started on December 24, 2013 with Justice Faisal Arab along with other High Court judges hearing the case. It has been reported that the accused has avoided at least 22 hearings.
Once the military ruler did set out for the court but ended up in Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology as he was experiencing some heart problems.
