Foreign Women detained in Islamabad
Thursday, February 20th, 2014 11:19:10 by Ahmad MehdiIt was recently reported from Islamabad that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) detained 12 women who belonged to Central Asian Countries. It was later revealed that the Federal Investigation Agency is currently trying to arrest two Uzbek women who did not pass through the immigration counter and fled from the site.
In order to arrest these women, the Federal Investigation Agency decided to raid through different addresses. Since they were travelling in the capital city of Pakistan, the Investigation Agency did not want to take any risks; especially after recent events which have taken place between the Pakistan-Taliban peace talks.
During the time they were trying to arrest these women, the Federal Investigation Agency raided at least ten homes in the sectors G-10 and F-10. During this time they were able to get their hands on women who belong to Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. All these women were later detained during raids.
After these women were caught in the vicinity of Pakistan it was revealed that even though they were not actually the ones who fled from the airport, they were still living illegally in Pakistan. At least four to five of these women had expired VISAs and were still staying in the country.
