Rustam Shah Believes that Peace Talks have not Failed
Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 7:30:47 by Ahmad MehdiRustam Shah, who was a part of the Government Committee, has stated that the peace talks have stalled for now and they can still take place if both the parties are willing to cooperate.
Recently, Pakistan decided to hold peace talks with Tehreek E Taliban in order to end the killings which take place in the country. Taliban were responsible for several deaths recently and the Pakistani Government was willing to shake hands with them and meet their demands so they can put an end to these killings once and for all.
There were committees made on both the sides but then Tehreek E Taliban slaughtered 23 FC soldiers which were kept in captivity since 2010.
In return, Pakistan managed to put an airstrike on North Waziristan which killed several Taliban individuals.
Due to this several people state that the peace talks have come to an end as they have collapsed and failed.
However, Rustam Shah states that the peace talks have stalled but they have not failed so far. He claims that the airstrikes which took place were in retaliation of the brutal attacks which Taliban carried out recently.
He also stated that the constitution was made by 180 million people and it cannot be changed on the basis of one group.
