Saudi Arabia Asking for Pakistani Troops
Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 7:29:11 by Ahmad MehdiIt was recently reported from Dubai that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are currently involved in talks in which Pakistan is going to provide anti-aircraft and anti-tank rockets to the Syrian rebels who are currently trying to tip the balance in order to bring down the president, Bashar Al-Assad.
United States has always been against arming such rebels; especially with the weapons which Pakistan is willing to provide them with. US claims that these weapons will eventually end up in the hands of extremists, and no one really knows what they are capable of doing.
Pakistan has managed to make a shoulder-launched anti-aircraft missile, which goes by the name of Anza. Moreover, they also are willing to provide anti-tank rockets. Riyadh wants to provide both these weapons to the rebels.
A source claimed, “The United States could allow their allies provide the rebels with anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons following the failure of Geneva talks and the renewed tension with Russia.”
On the other hand Saudi Arabia has managed to side-line intelligence chief, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, who was leading the efforts which Riyadh managed to put in for Syria.
For now it has come to the knowledge of the media that Suadi royal himself approached Washington for its decision not to intervene military in Syria.
