Pakistan Government Announces Ceasefire

Since the past few months Pakistan has been under severe threat from the banned organization, Tehreek E Taliban. They have been the centre of several attacks which have been conducted in major areas of the country and many people lost their lives due to these attacks.
Most recently the Pakistani government took the first step in order to initiate peace talks with Taliban. However, they killed 23 FC soldiers which they had in their captivity since 2010. The Pakistani government took this as an indication of not wanting to negotiate and they started conducting different airstrikes in North Waziristan, the home of the Tehreek E Taliban organization.
Many people lost their lives and the Pakistani government was taking the war by storm. However, most recently it was announced by Taliban that they want to ceasefire. At first they did not want to stop shooting, but now they want the Pakistani government to stop the airstrikes which they are conducting in North Waziristan.
Today news was received from Islamabad that the Pakistan government has decided to stop these air strikes which are taking place in the Waziristan region of the country.
